Bioinformatics support service (ExBiSS)
The School of Biosciences recognises both the opportunities and often the daunting challenges posed by the large amounts of data which result from ecology, molecular biology, sequencing, metabolomics and indeed most areas of Biology. To help researchers plan their experiments and make the most of their data, Biosciences currently hosts a grouping of bioinformaticians based at both the Streatham and Cornwall campuses. We are available to advise on any project you may be undertaking, whether you are a PhD student, postdoctoral researcher or a PI.
Should you have a query, please contact us directly or via one of our drop-in sessions.
Drop-in sessions
Should you have any queries regarding bioinformatic or statistical analyses which you would like to discuss, please feel free to drop in at the following times:
Streatham Campus
Dr Konrad Paszkiewicz, L02 Geoffrey Pope building
When: 3.00-4.30pm every Tuesday.
If you have any specific datasets or queries you wish to discuss then it would be helpful if you could email those to us in advance. We are available for questions no matter how big or small, whether they are about statistical analyses, tools, datasets, algorithms and alignments or even the methods section of your latest paper. We cannot guarantee to answer all your questions, but should be able to refer you to someone who can.

Queries regarding the service and/or resources should be referred to Dr Konrad Paszkiewicz in the first instance.
