Research degrees

If you are interested in Research degrees in the School of Biosciences, please see our PhD study/Masters by Research page.

Coming to study in Exeter at a time like this was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Apart from the School of Biosciences' impressive showing in the 2008 RAE* which has translated into millions of pounds for broadening our research base and wholly enhancing the learning experience, I have attended classes and worked together in the labs with some of the best people from the most diverse of cultural backgrounds. The variety of perspectives they each bring to discourse in and out of the lecture halls is simply amazing. The tutors are incredibly knowledgeable and world leaders in their fields: one of my most memorable moments was attending a seminar where one of our lecturers personally spoke about his work on ocean chemistry which had just been published in Science and one which was generating so much buzz in the scientific world! I am confident that I am receiving the best of education and couldn't have been better prepared to face the world anywhere else!
