My position involves providing technical support to academic staff and students both in the laboratory and in the field. This includes maintenance of equipment, preparation of teaching resources, demonstrating in practicals and assisting in the welfare of study organisms. I am passionate about teaching and have worked hard to become an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy during my time at Exeter. Furthermore, I am engaged in Widening Participation and enjoy getting involved in outreach workshops with local school children.
Broad research specialisms:
In addition to teaching, I provide technical support for research. My broad interests are sexual selection, communication and social cooperation. Currently I am working with the Cultural Minds research team investigating the origins of human culture.
