Research interests

Broad research specialisms

My broad research interest revolves around investigating approaches to improve conservation decision making. Decision making in conservation is complex due to the range of different stakeholders (and thereby world views) and the urgency with which decisions need to be made. During my PhD, I have demonstrated the effective use of the Delphi technique in addressing problems in conservation. In my first post-doctoral fellowship, I have expanded the scope of this research to include insights from other disciplines (social psychology, medicine etc). In my current research, I look forward to building on these bridges in the domain of business decision making.

Research projects

I am currently working on a project titled: “Ecosystem services in business: a global analysis of implementation, challenges and opportunities” in collaboration with Ana NunoAnnette BroderickBrendan Godley and Stuart Bearhop. Using a three pronged approach of the Delphi technique, in depth literature reviews and consultation with experts in the field, the project aims to identify the key solutions towards integrating the natural capital approach into business decision making.
