Jen Lewis
PhD Student

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Exeter’s Centre for Ecology and Conservation, based at the Penryn Campus in Cornwall.

My interests fall at the interface between science, conservation and society. My research will use a variety of methods to investigate the effects of anthropogenic climate change on marine species populations and modelling range expansions, using gilthead bream Sparus aurata as a model species. This will hopefully enable me to develop useful tools with real relevance for fisheries management.

Prior to taking up a studentship at the University of Exeter, I worked as a marine lead adviser with Natural England, working on new Natura 2000 designations, marine monitoring and advising on sustainable development.
