Overview

This project will characterise detoxification enzymes from solitary bees of the Megachilidae family and examine their role in defining insecticide selectivity in vitro and in vivo. The project will provide a fundamental understanding of bee detoxification enzyme/insecticide interactions and will also contribute towards the development of a 'bee safe screening tool-kit'.
