My current research focuses on Blue Carbon, which is the sequestration and storage of atmospheric carbon dioxide by marine vegetated ecosystems. I am conducting research on blue carbon ecosystems that include mangroves, seagrass and saltmarsh, as well as novel blue carbon sinks, such as seabed sediment, seaweed farming and kelp forests.
