Research

Research interests

I study human pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus. A. fumigatus is an environmental fungus that can cause a wide range of infections, including life-threatening invasive aspergillosis. I particular investigate molecular mechanisms that help this fungus to cause serious diseases. Also, I aim to elucidate strategies used by the immune system to counteract A. fumigatus invasion and prevent fungal growth.
