I am working with Dr Alex Hayward as a post-doctoral research fellow on transposable elements (transposons or TEs) evolution in insects. I am generally interested in studying TEs diversity and evolution as well as their interactions with host genomes. For this purpose I use bioinformatics tools to annotate and characterise TEs in genomic sequences.
