Aidan Farrow (He/Him)
Honorary Appointment
Aidan is a Senior Scientist at the Greenpeace Research Laboratories, where he specialises in air quality research. He has a background in climate and environmet change, having studied Environmental Geoscience at the University of Edinburgh, before gaining his PhD in Geogrpahical Sciences (Palaeoclimate Modelling) from the University of Bristol. Prior to joining the Greenpeace Research Laboratories he completed post-doctoral research into air quality modelling and forecasting at the University of Hertfordshire, and worked in industry with Air Quality Consultants Ltd.
Aidan's uses a variety of field and laboratory methods and numerical modelling approaches to investigate atmospheric pollution and its impacts. This has included work on
- Air quality assessment using low and medium-cost air quality monitors
- Health Impact Assessment
- Atmospheric dispersion modelling (ADMS, AERMOD)
- Field and laboratory methods for detection and characterisation of VOCs including methane.
- Indoor air quality
