Dr Gifford is a Clinical PhD Fellow at the MRC Centre for Medical Mycology studying "The Epidemiology and Host-fungal interaction of Paediatric Disease in South Africa". She is a Paediatric Specialty Trainee with an interest in child health in low-resource settings including neuroinfections and epilepsy.
