Marine larval biologist studying the role of neuropeptide settlement in invertebrate larval settlement. I am currently studying the expression and function of myoinhibitory peptide in polycheate, gastropod, and bivalve larval settlement. I am also interested how marine larvae sense chemical cues in their environment that signal a suitable settlement habitat. My research involves a mixture of molecular techniques, fluorescent microscopy, and animal behaviour studies.
