About me:
My research focuses on the impact of anthropogenic noise and light on shark behaviour.
I’m interested in how animals interact with their environment through their sensory systems and how behaviour is influenced by changes to sensory landscapes. For my PhD I have been working to develop an understanding of the physiological and behavioural responses of juvenile sharks to human developments, particularly the noise and lights associated with coastal construction and recreational water users. I aim to use project outputs to inform sustainable development initiatives to bridge the interests of economy and environment.
