About me:

I have been hired at Exeter to work on a 3-year NERC-funded project called Integrating Drivers of Atlantic Productivity (IDAPro) – one of the three sea-going projects funded through NERC’s £10.3M BioCarbon programme, which aims to provide new insights into the role of marine life in ocean carbon storage and robust predictions of future ocean carbon storage in a changing climate. I will be conducting experiments on expeditions to the North Atlantic in May and September this year alongside Dr Kathryn Cook and Prof. Dan Mayor to better understand how marine zooplankton (pictured) – tiny marine animals – influence the ways in which the oceans are helping to mitigate global climate change.
