Ioana Alexa

I am a passionate and co-operative PhD student with experience in environmental and molecular microbiology. I am particularly interested in how bacteria interact/communicate with one another and how they aquire and maintain AMR genes. My current research is looking at the bacterial diversity down the River Teign and how pathogenic Vibrio species enter and resuscitate from dormancy.
