Jerry obtained his degree in mechanical engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, and PhD in climate variability from École nationale des ponts et chaussées, where he continued postdoctoral research. His research involved characterisation of various geophysical fields across scales, individually and in relation with each other. Before his PhD, he worked on aerosol cloud interactions with Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and Mahatma Gandhi University. Jerry joined the Greenpeace Research Laboratories in 2025, and works on issues relating to climate attribution, carbon capture and storage, and solar radiation management.
