Interests:
My research interests are in the field of Clinical Microbiology, including Clostridium difficile infection, human microbiome in health and diease and antimicrobial resistance.
I have investigated many aspects of Clostridium difficile infection biology, including sporulation and germination, host immune responses, antimicrobial resistance, epidemiology and surveillance of novel transposable elements encoding antimicrobial resistance in C. difficile and other gut microorganisms.
