I am a postdoctoral researcher working in stem cell biology of regenerating invertebrates using both wet lab and computational methods.

In the team of Jordi Solana, I am currently investigating stem cell differentiation in the flatworm Schmidtea mediterranea. My research projects rely on single cell transcriptomics, using a method recently established in the team. The cells are simultaneously dissociated and fixed using a solution of methanol and acetic acid (ACME), then, single cell libraries are generated using SPLiT-Seq. I am taking advantage of this method to i) explore the role of cell cycle components and epigenetic regulators on the differentiation of neoblasts, ii) perform clonal analysis using somatic mutations, iii) develop a method to enrich single cell datasets in dividing cells.
