Profile
Angela Brennan
Public Engagement and Communications Manager
Office hours: My working days are Thursday and Friday and my role is home-based.
Overview
Ange Brennan trained as an archaeologist at Southampton University and worked on archaeological sites across Europe and Africa. Her research looked at how we write about the past and this led to a career in academic publishing and science communications. Ange has worked as an editor and communications manager for a Heath Education England-funded pharmacy graduates training programme and this led to an interest in science public engagement. In 2021 Ange took up a role working with medical mycologist Prof David Denning on his LIFE Worldwide project and began working to raise awareness of the global impact of fungal infections.
As well as the LIFE Worldwide project, Ange is also Public Engagement Manager for the Centre for Medical Mycology at Exeter. This is a role she shares with Rachel Etherington.
