Overview
In 2012 I obtained a Master degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Gdansk, Poland. From 2016 I worked as a core facility technician for the Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility at Biomedical Center, University of Iceland, Iceland. I was responsible for fixation and processing of samples embedded in resin in room temperature as well as cryo conditions and immunolabeling. I also participated in two projects involving anticancer drug testing. In the Bioimaging Centre I will be mainly responsible for operating High Pressure Freezing and Freeze Substitution machines as a new methods of sample preparation for Electron Microscopy. I will also work as a support in sample preparation for TEM and SEM.
