Overview

I am a computational ecologist and conservation scientist, working to improve conservation decisions, especially in polar regions. I am interested in how biodiversity responds to large-scale stressors (such as climate change) in the past, present and future, and how understanding this can inform policy and conservation management.

I am currently an 1851 Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation, University of Exeter. Working alongside Dr Regan Early, I am investigating past species responses to climatic change to better predict future responses. My previous research has included studies of protected area effectiveness at a global scale, conservation of polar regions, and methods to better work with count data.
